WOLF WOLF desafían con su garage-punk las fronteras entre lo real y lo imaginario en el primer single de su nuevo álbum
WolfWolf, el dúo suizo de garage-punk-blues-trash, lanza ‘I Can See Things’, el próximo sencillo de su próximo álbum» In Delusion«. La canción se adentra aún más en un mundo en el que la percepción y la realidad ya no pueden separarse con claridad.
‘I Can See Things’ narra una concisa historia de terror desde la perspectiva de alguien que ve siluetas en las paredes, se encuentra con criaturas en la noche y, poco a poco, se da cuenta de que no está solo. Algunas de estas apariciones parecen amistosas, mientras que otras sufren, desaparecen o se vuelven amenazantes. La canción nunca aclara qué es real y qué es fruto de la imaginación. Se queda exactamente en el punto donde comienza la incertidumbre.
Musicalmente, WolfWolf recurren a su característico sonido garage-punk directo y a una batería enérgica. Esta vez, sin embargo, lo combinan con una guitarra que recuerda a los primeros The Cure y con sutiles elementos psicodélicos. La locura no se limita a describirse, sino que se traduce en ritmo, sonido y atmósfera.
El videoclip que acompaña a la canción, oscuro e inquietante, ha sido creado por la cineasta suiza Thaïs Odermatt. Su interpretación visual capta la frágil percepción de la canción y amplía su imaginería hasta convertirla en un mundo cinematográfico propio.

“I Can See Things” tells a compact horror story from the perspective of someone who sees shapes on the walls, encounters creatures in the night and gradually realises that they are not alone. Some of these apparitions seem friendly, while others suffer, disappear or become threatening. The song never explains what is real and what is imagined. It remains exactly where uncertainty begins.
Musically, WolfWolf rely on their signature straight-ahead garage-punk sound and driving drums. This time, however, they combine it with a guitar reminiscent of early The Cure and subtle psychedelic elements. Madness is not merely described but translated into rhythm, sound and atmosphere.
The accompanying dark and unsettling music video was created by Swiss filmmaker Thaïs Odermatt. Her visual interpretation picks up on the song’s fragile sense of perception and expands its imagery into a cinematic world of its own.
“I Can See Things” is the next step towards WolfWolf’s new full-length album “In Delusion”. The album explores psychosis, paranoia, collective illusions and the human need to impose order on the incomprehensible. WolfWolf observe their characters from the outside – without offering a diagnosis or a moral resolution.
